Ladies Club Championship 2022

Golf Australia is promoting golf to be more inclusive and with this recognised in our ‘Strategic Plan’ the Match Committees, with the support of the General Committee have decided on trying a new format for the Ladies Club Championships this year. The Ladies Club Championship format: 1st & 2nd Rounds you will have an option of Thursday or Saturday play.

1st Round - Thursday 23rd June or Saturday 25th June.

Stipulated day needs to be submitted to the Captain or on the sheet outside the Powder Room by the close of Sat 18th June.

2nd Round - Thursday 30th June or Saturday 2nd July.

Stipulated day needs to be submitted to the Captain or on the sheet outside the Powder Room by the close of Sat 25th June.

Names to be entered on the time sheet (One Golf) as normal for the first 2 rounds, as there will be no graded divisions for the first 2 rounds. Grades will be allocated after the first round has been completed.

3rd (Final) Round - Thursday 7th July - seeded draw.

Names will be placed on the time sheet by the Ladies Match Committee

Riverside Open 2022 Results

The Riverside GC would like to thank all who supported the Open this year. With over 260 players over the 2 days, with10 golf clubs represented it has proven to be another successful event. Thank you to Monaghan Truck & Trailer Sales and Trek Hardware 4x4 Superstore Mildura for their continued support of the Riverside Golf Club and for sponsoring the Riverside Open.

With many commenting on the condition of the course it is a credit to our ground staff for the hard work and commitment they have made over the last 18 months for the course to be looking and playing so well.

The 36 hole championship needed to go down to a playoff with Greg Rhodes and Ash Whitehouse locked on 143. The playoff lasted one hole with Greg Rhodes becoming the 2022 champion. 

The Ladies Champion for 2022 was Sue Laird who was consistent with scores of 78 & 79 .

Ladies Riverside Visitors Day 2022

Ladies Riverside Visitors day will be held on Thursday 26^th May. It will be a 4BBB Stableford – 9.30am Shotgun Start, everyone is welcome. Members can book through One Golf everyone else will need to contact the club on (03) 5023 4255.

Community Instructors Development Day

Golf Australia and the MDGA are running a day for people interested in developing golf in the golf club, allowing them to be involved in Junior & Adult clinics. This day will be hosted by a couple of PGA Professionals to help you have a better understanding of how participation programs run, drills and games to play during a session along with so much more information to successfully run participation programs at your club. Golf Australia runs a Community Instructor program that acknowledges participants who have undertaken this training. Lorraine Palmer completed the course a few years ago, and we encourage a few other members to consider the course.

Anyone interested should check out this The on-line course needs to be competed prior to 19th June for you to participate on the day, and numbers are required before hand for catering purposes.

Riverside Open 2022

7th & 8th of May. Men's and Ladies 36 hole and 18 hole graded competition.  Members can book through One Golf everyone else will need to contact the club on (03) 5023 4255.  (Seeded groupings on Sunday).  To be eligible for 36 hole prizes you must pay the entry fee on the Saturday.
